VietNamNet Bridge - The Vietnam Fund in Support of Children granted Phu Dong scholarship to talented children in Hanoi on October 16. The scholarships were sponsored by Comvik International Vietnam AB-Sweden company.
Twelve young scholarship winners from Hanoi, Nam Dinh and Son La provinces, Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City were given VND4.5 million each to study in the fields of culture, sports and physical training, and arts.

VietNamNet Bridge - President Nguyen Minh Triet on the evening of September 20 joined 150 disadvantaged children in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional festival for children in Vietnam.
The festival, which is celebrated in the middle of the eighth month according to the lunar calendar, falls on September 25 this year. |

VietNamNet Bridge – Minister of Public Security Le Hong Anh has decided to establish police bureaus in charge of environmental matters under central-run cities and provinces’ police force.
Under the Environmental Police Department, local environmental police bureaus will deal with violations in the Law on Environment as well as check production establishments which cause pollution. |
