VietNamNet Bridge - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide $30 million in loan for a Vietnamese project aimed at modernising agricultural science and technology.
An agreement was signed in Hanoi on Mar. 14 by Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Le Duc Thuy and the ADB’s Country Director for Vietnam Ayumi Konishi.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Konishi said: “Access to new technologies by farmers and agro-based enterprises is essential as Vietnam ’s agriculture is shifting its focus from increased production volumes to increased production values in the era of globalisation.” |

VietNamNet Bridge – An art exhibition titled 'French Art in 35 Years' opened yesterday at HCMC Fine Art Museum to give Vietnamese visitors an opportunity to view this style of French painting. The exhibition introduces about 30 contemporary lithographic paintings by 20 of the 80 lithographers at Eric Linard's workshop over the last three decades. The exposition presents a comprehensive representation of modern French contemporary art, satisfying both functions of information and technology. The lithographers, including Jean-Michel Alberola, Ben, Jacques Bosser, Francois Bruetschy, Erik Dietman, Le Gac, Claude Villate and Tony Soulie, produced their prints in a workshop run by Eric Linard, a French contemporary artist who has been publishing his complex printed creations since 1970. |
