| FPT signs deal with Japanese university |

VietNamNet Bridge – On the afternoon of March 19, FPT University signed an agreement with the Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, on research, training, and teacher and student exchanges. According to the agreement, every year, 5 students from FPT University will receive full scholarships to study at the Kyushu Institute of Technology. Doctor Le Truong Tung, President of FPT University, said that this cooperation programme was part of the overall plan to train software engineers for the Japanese market and FPT University’s teachers and students would have chances to experience the latest training programmes and teaching methods in Japan. FPT University will also add IT classes in Japanese to its curriculum. The president of the 100-year-old Kyushu Institute of Technology, Teruo Shimomura, said, “The main factor that convinced us to cooperate with such a young university as FPT is that FPT University has a good direction for IT.”FPT University and Hanoi Polytechnics University are the two partners of the Kyushu Institute of Technology in Vietnam.
