| Hue traditional craft festival to open in June |

VietNamNet Bridge - The Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2007 will be held form June 8-6 in the central city of Hue. The first Hue Traditional Craft Festival was held in 2005 and takes place every 2 years, alternating with the Hue Festival. The theme of the coming festival will be ”Phu Xuan Hue’s traditional crafts in 320 years – identity and development”. Crafts to be introduced at the festival will include engravings, copper casts and jewellery. Artisans throughout the country will gather in Hue to demonstrate their impressive skills.An important part of the festival will be a series of exhibitions, including an exhibition of personal collections of bronze and silver works from all over Vietnam. Hue City will contribute with Hue Royal Palace antiques and the collection recently found in the Huong River. Diverse activities will also be organised with the participation of famous Vietnamese and international artist groups. The festival will be held in the section on the southern bank of the Huong River starting from Quoc Hoc School, running along the Nguyen Dinh Chieu road and ending at the former Toa Kham ferry.
