Vietnamese university president awarded French Order of Merit

VietNamNet Bridge – On March 22, French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean-François Blarel awarded the National Order of Merit to Ms. Nguyen Thi Mo, former President of Hanoi Foreign Trade University.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mo received a PhD in international trade law from Lomonoxop University in Moscow, Russia in 1987.

Afterwards, she took part in DIGEM, a training programme of the French Foreign Ministry delivered by ESCP-EAP European School of Management from 1991 to 1992 in Paris. The purpose of the programme was to train 15 Vietnamese management teachers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mo was the president of Hanoi Foreign Trade University from 1998 to 2005. With her enthusiasm for educational cooperation between France and Vietnam she made significant contributions to the development of the Vietnamese-French relationship.
The National Order of the Legion of Honour and the National Order of Merit established by Charles de Gaulle in 1963 are the two most prestigious national medals in France.
